Walking west on Madison from State recently, I was noticing how bright and clear the reflection of Sears was in the shiny black granite of One South Dearborn. So of course, I had to stop and pull the camera out. It is amazing (to me at least) how bright the color is on the black surface.
Happy Anniversary to the new Looper!?!
I completely missed that yesterday was the one year anniversary of the official launch of the current version (v2.0) of Looper. It has been an interesting year, and I have enjoyed very much bringing my view through the viewfinder to you. Numbers wise, I have had more than 120,000 visitors (half of which are return visitors), and more than 350,000 actual page views in the last twelve months. Thank you!
As I begin to wind Looper down next month with my move to NYC (Looper isn’t going away, I am just planning to post weekly from my archive of more than 30,000 Chicago images), I have nearly completed work on my new site for NYC, 24gotham. It is up and running using archive images until I get there, and there is still some tweaking to do. But I will be ready for the official launch when I get there.
