This past weekends NAP 2007 Meet-Up had groups of us walking around doing exactly what you would expect, taking pictures. I had the fortune leading a few excursions around the Loop (and elsewhere), putting my seemingly endless supply of tid bits and trivia about downtown Chicago to use. I found that I took fewer pictures than I would normally; perhaps it was because I didn’t want to loose anybody along the way. So, over the next couple of day’s I plan to post shots from the various walks over the weekend.
The first shot; this homeless man can often be found wandering the Loop, I (along with others) happened to capture him while standing inside Millers Pub on Wabash. Next, while ascending the stairs to Upper Randolph at Columbus, I saw this through the stairs. Only a few minutes prior, we were under the Columbus Ave Bridge watching the shadows of the overhead passing cars on the water. It was while I was on my way to brunch on Sunday that I saw the light shining through the glass in the window of Macy’s on Michigan Avenue. And finally, while having a late evening drink with the group in the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel, I set my camera down on a table and pressed the shutter for a nice long exposure.
