Today’s random pics were taken from images shot over the past week. First up; I was drawn to the remnants of a hand painted “No Parking at Any Time Police Order” sign next to the door. To be found on W Court Place (back of the former Bismarck Hotel) between Wells and LaSalle. In the shot down the arcade at Boeing along the riverfront, I especially like the reflection of the woman in the column to the right. The gleaming art deco top of 182 W Lake (or 201 N Wells) in the sun shows off a beautiful job of restoring the exterior, with the conversion from office to apartments. A view of the top of the main hall at the Cook County/City Hall Building. I wanted to focus on the top of the hall, and not so much on the elevators. Last shot; blinking traffic control barriers lined up in the back of a truck on Washington, waiting to be used to re-route traffic on State for that evenings work on the CTA Tunnel at State and Washington.
