Today’s random selection is more continued test shots from the new D80, mostly on my way home from work several nights last week. I am still amazed at the quality of these shots given that I didn’t have a tripod. 1) The first shot is an angle I haven’t done much, mainly because security comes running each time I pull my camera out of its bag at 10 S Riverside Plaza. 2) Shot from the NW corner of LaSalle and Monroe, this is one my favorite street scenes in the city. 3) The Deloitte Building glowing in the night. I think this building has the brightest lobby in the city. 4) The holiday tree at Sears Tower was still standing last week; perhaps they were waiting for epiphany? 5) This little building on Excelon Plaza, once stood empty, and I never knew what it was for. Now it is the home of bright blue cash machines. This seems a bit redundant given that there are no less than a dozen cash machines in the lobby only a few feet away. 6) Yes, another shot of the fountain, but I like the angle and colors on this one, and I am still amazed to see it flowing in January. 7) As a follow up to a less than stellar shot I posted last week, I had a request to purchase that shot, but I wasn’t very happy with the image quality, and was concerned about sending out a crappy image. Well, as luck would have it, it was nice and sunny on Saturday as I went back to my secret location to re-shoot.
