Winter poses real challenges to taking pictures for me, First I have my corporate gig during most daylight hours, and then I have the Chicago weather to contend with. This leaves me with evenings after work, and weekends. Yesterday was the first day of winter, and the shortest day of the year, which means my most challenging time to take photographs, is coming over the next few months. The result is that you can expect to see a lot of night shots over the next few months… I hope you don’t mind.
I love the first shot (top). Taken on Monday evening while standing on the Franklin Street Bridge, I somehow missed posting it with the shots I featured on Tuesday and Wednesday. The next three were from Wednesday evening, while exiting the station at Madison/Wabash. I am especially fond of the last of the three (fourth down). The final shot was the view from my apartment yesterday morning, as I was getting ready for work. I grew up with Tule Fog (image) in the Central Valley of CA, so thick fog has always held a special place for me.
