Last week while walking home from work, I stopped by the fountain at Exelon Plaza. I don’t know if it has been shut down for winter in the past week, but I was surprised to find it flowing at the end of November. These certainly aren’t the first pics I have posted of this fountain, but I think this is the first post devoted to it, and the first decent set of night shots I have achieved.
On the subject of achievements, when I started this blog, it was about showing off all that is amazing and wonderful about my neighborhood, and to give insight about living in the Loop. Well, it has evolved over time, it has become not so much about living in the Loop, but more about photography of the Loop itself. I along with my readers have watched as my skill level with taking pictures has improved over the nearly two years I have been doing this. To that end, I want to continue to focus more on the quality of the images, and less on the quantity of images. You will begin to see a shift to my posts, with the first being that I plan to put my text at the bottom, thereby emphasizing the images, and not the writing (I am not a writer). I will also be evolving to a new layout, with less visual clutter, and fewer images overall. But rest assured, while there may be fewer images, I think they will be better images, and I hope to show the Loop in an even better way.
Looking over my site-traffic reports, I am grateful to my readers for their daily visits. I have had more than 100,000 page loads, and I can proudly say that on average, half of my visitors have been here before, and half of them have been here more than twenty times (some as many as several hundred).
So, I am tossing this out to you… What would you like to see?…
I welcome feedback… I enjoy feedback… Please feel free to give me feedback… Even if you think this site is crap (yet you can’t stop visiting each day).
Thank you for the continued support, Devyn
