Recently, while walking north along the west side of Dearborn Street, I came across the newly completed subway entrance just south of Jackson. Not sure when it is due to open (it may have, the pic is from 11/19), but it sure is shiney and clean (for the last time).
As I continued walking north, I stopped at each block and shot the subway entrance. I like that there is variation to the subway entrances along Dearborn, it adds character. (Although I also like the identical subway entrances along State Street.)
Chase Bank recently completed what is now the third incarnation of this entrance just south of Madison. It is simular to the entrance installed in the 60s when Chicago First National built what is now Chase Bank on the block. This is my favorite of the entrances, and probably the most consistantly clean one as well.
I know, you are wondering where the entrance from Daley Plaza is… Well… I didnt get that far north on my walk. At the time I wasn’t thinking about these shots as a post.
