Sunrise on the Marquee

I haven’t been out shooting much lately… Blame it on lousy weather, but expect that I will get over the fact that the temps dropping aren’t an excuse not to go out and take pictures. So for today, I am pulling one from the archives. This shot taken in September of sunrise shadows the Oriental Theater Marquee along Randolph Street.

The answer to last weeks “Where In The Loop Is This?” was apparently more difficult than I thought it would be. But the fire escape stairs featured in the image are on the west wall of the Merle Reskin Theater on Balbo between Michigan and Wabash. There is a parking lot next to it allowing for a flood of light.
