It’s Monday once again, and that means more random fun. The following images were all taken within the past ten days. First up… Standing at the intersection of State and Washington, looking north over Block 37 currently being lorded over by multiple cranes of various sorts.
Unintended consequences… I didn’t even know I took this shot of the sidewalk until I downloaded my images. It’s actually an interesting shot (at least in my head).
My office building is currently installing a sprinkler system (after nearly 80 years without one). Installation is going floor by floor, and my floor came up a couple of weeks back. In the meantime, we are working in a swing space on a different floor. I have worked on my floor for six years, and now each day I have to take a different elevator, and work in this space. It’s very 80s. The one good thing… I have a nice view from my window-side cube.
Caught this while walking past E. Benton Place on State Street. Fog shrouding Two Pru and Aon.
Marshall Field Building goes red for Macy’s. This is truly a strange sight.
Santa arrives at the Marshall Field Building on Saturday morning (as seen from the warmth of my apartment). I was surprised by the crowds.
Nobody tried to guess the “Where in the Loop is This?” image from last week, so I will give it another chance, and a clue. It’s a theater building (although that should be obvious).
