I haven’t done a lot of shooting this past week so I went back and looked through my images from the past few months and found several that hadn’t been posted. So, I declare today Random Mondays on Friday. (Expect the usual on this coming Monday.) First up, Chicago Title (161 N Clark) as reflected in the Thompson Center at sundown.
Shiny new traffic signals along Michigan Ave just south of the bridge.
The Fisher Building entrance lurking in the shadows of the “L” on Van Buren.
Two “L” trains passing and reflecting on Wacker and Lake. I love watching the “L” train here.
When I first arrived in Chicago, I noticed how all of the older businesses used this metal support system for the overhanging signs along the street. They look as though they were made in high school metal shop with their simplistic yet excessive angle iron frame and multiple chains holding up the sign. Was this based upon some city ordinance propagated by the Angle Iron Workers Union? This shot taken on the 1500 block of South Wabash.
“Rough Grooved Surface” That about says it all. Found on west end of the Washington Street Bridge.
