EDIT-11/01/06: Sorry for any issues when accessing my site, my host has been having server issues. >D<
Today’s randomness comes from the hundreds of photos I have that don’t make up a full post.
Standing on the left side of the most grand of entrances to Grant Park is The Bowman, by Ivan Mestrovic. I don’t know much about this work, but I can’t help but wonder if there was actually a bow when completed in 1928.
Scintillating, a term in the sign industry for lights flashing at what appears to be a random pattern. It usually isn’t really random, but a well designed sign will convince you otherwise. Sadly, this sign on Wabash near Randolph isn’t as scintillating as it once was. The randomness is pretty much non-existent due to the number of burned out bulbs.
Sunlight falling on trees in the background at Grant Park.
In Chicago, the space between houses is called a gangway, and this is about as typical as it gets. This shot taken in Chinatown.
Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat (1884-86). Is there any irony that this shot was taken Sunday afternoon, at the Art Institute (in the park)?
