For the past several years the Midnight Circus has performed daily shows at Daley Plaza as part of the city’s “Chicagoween” celebration. Cirque du Soleil they are not, but these folks have talent, and quite convincingly look as though they are having a good time (I hope they really are).
The Midnight Circus as been performing at Daley Plaza each October since at least 2002 (maybe earlier?).

I had a difficult time with the fire eating shots; my reaction time combined with my shutter time kept missing the flame in the air. This one at least gives a idea of what its like.
OK, so he isn’t really fire walking, but the flame is on a rope that is right next to him. That has to count for something.
My pics after this point didn’t come out well, it was too dark, and without a tripod, my camera couldn’t hack it.
