This week’s randomness is pulled from images hot over the past few weeks. First up… On our way to Orange in Printers Row on Saturday, we came across a Streets and Sans crew replacing all of the traffic control lights at the Harrison and Dearborn intersection. The old fixtures were tossed upon a trailer (see here) parked nearby. I guess they go to a traffic light graveyard? R.I.P.
Garages lining an alley along Lincoln near Sedgwick.
Another traffic light, but this one is a bit confusing. This can be found on the underside of the “L” at Wabash and Lake. The signal is fully functional, however, it is pointing directly down to the pavement. I suspect it is a remnant from the brief attempt to make Wabash a two way street during the Taste last summer. The fixtures are new and obviously positioned this way on purpose.
Found this guard dog on West Dickens Avenue. The chain is to keep him in the yard, literally.
The sun setting on the Hancock casting a very yellow glow.
Ever since moving to the Loop in 2003, I have known my view wasn’t permanant. The first real loss will likely happen this week as my view of Mather Tower is currently being usurped by MoMo. The elevator shaft will be first with the building to follow.

The answer to last weeks “Where in the Loop is This?” was correctly guessed only a few hours after my post. Greg B was correct with his guess of 19 S LaSalle. (Guess I need to make it a bit harder?)
