OK, so this Random Mondays post keeps getting pushed to Tuesday. Perhaps I need to move it permanently?
Today’s randomness comes from shots taken over the past couple of weeks. First up, The North Atrium in the Marshall Field Building on State Street can be awe inspiring. I have taken this shot many times before, but this one is among my better ones (at least I think so).
Daley Center on a beautiful late sunny afternoon. The shadows undulate across the face are lined up with the fluorescent lights inside. I think that is part of the genius of the design.
Waiting for a bus at Milwaukee and Division this cloud was just hanging out next to the CHA Senior housing.
Harold’s Chicken Shack #62. This one has a bit of a story behind it. I found out after the fact (via Chicagoist) that I wasn’t the only photographer there on Labor Day. Don Sorsa captured essentially the same image. We both thought it was too funny.
City Hall and Cook County Building… Two… Two… Two buildings in one! Most people think this is one building, but if you know where to look you will see that they are actually two buildings, which are connected. They were even completed at different times (County Building in 1908, and City Hall in 1911).
