One for the weekend….
Yesterday was the last day of business for Marshall Fields stores under the Fields name. After 154 years in Chicago, it is over, Macy*s is in the house. A sad day indeed.

Other departments stores would be wise to cash in on this anger and have massive sales. I know that at least I am going to do my business elsewhere.

It was a sad day indeed. I have lived almost all of my live in Northwest Indiana, and enjoyed coming to Marshall Fields for their fabulous brunch on the weekends, and the great shopping.
Now Macy’s have taken the LS Ayers from Northwest Indiana away from us, and that was a somewhat “Marshall Fields” atmosphere, only without the brunches!
I think we should all protest this holiday season, and not shop there!
