The heat is once again set to reach “dangerous” levels today. Before moving here in 1999, I remember being concerned more about the hot humid summers than the sub-zero winters. That still applies, I hate the heat.
Last Friday found me killing some time at Millennium Park. Of course I was drawn to Crown Fountain and the masses there seeking refreshment from the heat. I did a post on this in July of last year, but it made sense for me to revisit the topic and offer some small release from the heat.
First up… My camera has a “rapid fire” (I don’t know what is it really called) feature in which it will shoot five images within two seconds. Here is the first of five.
And the fifth one.
The reaction of the children is a lot of fun to watch as the fountain cycles from one face to another.
It is impossible to resist taking one’s shoes off to wade into a 1/4 inch of water.
These two chose to hang out on the side of the fountain, where there were no others, and the water was a consistent downfall.
Of course, the necessary baby shot… I couldn’t resist.
