A couple of weeks ago I posted an image from the vaults of a snowy Picasso at Daley Plaza. Well, In contrast of the continuing heat, I dug up a few more images of that same snowy night in January of 2005. Any of my friends will tell you that I am like a stick of butter in the heat, and pretty much have no desire to interact with the out of doors. This shot was taken standing on the northwest corner of Madison and Wabash looking south. It’s not obvious, but it is snowing pretty heavily, but by using a longer exposure, and not using the flash, it looks fairly clear.
These shots were taken just after 10:00 PM; the Loop is mostly (and wonderfully) desolate. The resolution on these isn’t the greatest, this was back when I only had a 2 megapixel camera.
Looking east down Madison from Wabash the street lights highlighting the snowflakes.
Lone pedestrian walking north on Wabash. The thing I remember most about that evening was how quiet it was. Living where I do, I have grown used to the noise, but I cherish the quiet moments.
