Today’s selection of random shots was selected from images taken during the past ten days. First up: This shot of stairs at Marshall Fields as seen from across the street. I have noticed that in preparation for the conversion to Macy*s, Federated had uncovered several of these along the street. They were previously obscured by dark green paint, the trademark color for Fields.
While walking along Lake Street on the East Side of Michigan Ave, I couldn’t help but notice this angle of the Lake Street “L”.
Last Thursday morning at work, I was spending a moment gazing out the window when I saw this impending storm on its way. This was the one on Thursday that had the horizontal sheets of rain.
How many men does it take to do a concrete pour? Apparently a lot… Saturday morning at Block 37. They have been working on this footing for weeks, I am guessing it is for a construction crane.
Waiting to go. Large contingent of kayakers seen on the Chicago River between State and Dearborn, Saturday afternoon.
