Every time I walk along the Monroe Street Bridge on the way home, I look at the bolts holding the bridge together. I notice the bolts on this bridge in particular because of the way the bridge is designed with its low center. It is just another variation on Chicago’s famed bascule bridges.
The bridge is great for playing with focus….
…And position.
I had plenty of commuters running to the train stations give me dirty looks as I stood there with my camera perched along side the bridge. One woman yelped, “Don’t take my picture!” I don’t think she would understand, and that’s OK.
(EDIT-1:15 PM, A big thank you to Jason Pettus for the write up on CCLaP. I am flattered!)
